i have a 69 c10 that i am still using drum brakes on front for time being, i have a booster,master cly.,porp. vale off 71 with disc. my ? can i use booster,mst. cly. for 71 and 69 porp. valve for better braking until i change over to disc setup. i know there was a thread on this, i have saved a bunch of threads but not this one and been searching for days. thanks for all the help

It may work, but I would advice against it. Discs require a much higher working pressure than drums do.

just put on the new booster and don't mess with your m/c or prop valve for now. booster will work fine.

thanks for the help guys. i have been working on this ole truck for a while,gettin ready to put her on the road. wiring was a nigtmare but got all that redone as well as cam and bottom end of engine.

You'll also need a longer brake rod from the brake pedal. Manual power brake master cylinders have a deep hole in the end of the master cylinder and require a longer pin that power disc brakes, which have a shallow hole. Since you got everything off of a disc brake donor, you should already have the short pin. Good luck and keep on truckin'..............Jerry
