Question What would I expect to pay.

I am prepareing to start my search for my donor vehicles for a project I intend to undertake. (Wife is almost out of school )

I would like to find a 1984 - 1987 K20 Chevy truck to use frame & drive train, body condition is not an issue but would like to be able to use the truck until the project gets serious, or atleast until I find the 1960 or 1961 Chevy Suburban body that will make up the top half of the vehicle.

What would you expect to pay for a "clean" usable K20?

I just saw one go for about $2500 down the street not too long ago. It was an 84 K20 that the guy had cleaned up pretty good but was starting to rust in the usual places.

It all depends, too many varibales. I seen a nice '85 K20 go for 2900$$ but then I seen 1 '84 with a decent drivetrain but a somewhat beat up body go for 1700$$.
