Video from yesterday on the way to work

Was on the way to work yesterday morning and couldn't resist getting some video of the truck accelerating. I used the camera strap to hold the camera, so don't worry, was being safe.

Now don't go laughing at the crappy steering wheel - I've got different one that will be installed at some point. And as for having both the 4 on the floor and the 3 on the tree shifter, well, haven't gotten around to yanking the old column in favor of the tilt that I have ready.

The first clip is larger but ya get to watch the tach. Gets a bit bouncy once I get into 4th gear.

Video file about 6 megs

Audio only MP3 file, much smaller

I now know I have a problem - I have found my self control is a bit lacking as I just can't keep my right foot off the go pedal

I love that sound!

And looking at those new pics, I like your door panels. Did you do those yourself?

Yep, I used the old panels as templates and made the new panels from bathroom grade backing board. I then glued foam to the panels followed by the fabric that matches the seats.

The column shifter is to confuse the competition lol. As for the speedo, I keep thinking about whether to try to sell the mechanical and go with an electric - sure would make calibrating it easy if I go electric.

What kind of gauges are those? I'm looking to replace my stock with something with numbers. I'm kinda liking Autometer Phamtom.

So, where did you get the fabric that matches the seats?

I have a similiar pair sitting in my garage...
