how much

okay went and looked at an 77 350 motor today runs good has an 4 barrel carb on it has an little over 100K miles on it guy said he'll take it out of the truck tune it up and for 500 buxs its mine do you think its worth that?

lots of money for ahigh mileage 30year old motor// you can get a rebuilt longblock from advanced auto for about that price with 100,000mile warrenty

Sounds like a $100 to $200 motor around here. For $500 you could get the truck with it.

$500.00 sounds a little high to me also.I agree the long block is probably a better deal, but,if you don't have an engine now you will have a ton of small stuff that adds up to get a longblock up and running.Like a carb,intake,dist,water pump and any of the vacuum,fuel lines and so on.

I agree...$100 motor tops. I wouldn't doubt with it just going over 100k that at least one of the lobes on the cam is rounding off too.

okay thanks guy called advance auto about an long block 1000 buxs or something like that i think i going to talk the guy down on the motor and if he goes down take extra money and pull it apart make sure its in good shape
