WTB right front axle for 69 3/4 ton Burb - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Anyone out there have a right hand front axle for a 69 3/4 ton Burb? I have a customer who needs one to replace the one he broke. He also said it was a "heavy duty" front axle. Is this possible? I thought that all of our 67-72 chevy trucks used Dana 44 front axle assemblys. Any input on this will be greatly appreciated.

Try to get hold of boardmember drink2mny. He came up with one for me earlier this year for a Dana 44. If your customer has a Dana 60 in there, it was a transplant.

69 should be front drum,closed knuckle...It will have HD44 right above the cover on the housing..

It could also be an open knuckle drum. I had one. I am not sure if this affects the axle shaft though.
