Converting emergency brake?

I want to convert the handle type emergency brake to a foot pedal.

Any ideas what parts I need to start looking for to do this?
I have a '67 cab and '72 rolling chassis

Thanks

Re: Converting emergency brake?

I would like to know about this also, as I want to go to the hand type from the pedal. Does anyone know if the cables are different?

Re: Converting emergency brake?

Lokar makes an aftermarket emergency brake pedal that may be an easier fit. I'm considering it for my 66.

Re: Converting emergency brake?

page 5 & 6 is where he swapped the pieces of the firewall so that he could swap the parking brake levers

Re: Converting emergency brake?

go junk yarding and look at some GM mid size and large cars..........from 64-74. The way they mount is different but I used one that a friend had and he couldn't remember what year. I had to use a longer bolt and a spacer for the fire wall but it mounted well.

Damn. Is that work required or is that something Wes wanted to do?

Has anyone used the conversion kits from Lokar? I just ordered their catalog Friday.

The area where the foot pedal goes is different in a cab that came with the hand brake, so I believe that work is required to install the foot brake, besides it'd look a lot better
