Throttle cable/rod

I am getting ready to install a new engine in my 68. I am thinking about going to a cable type throttle set up. Has anyone installed a 71 /72 type or after market throttle cable. If so, any problems?

i just did this on my 69 a couple weeks ago. the throttle/kickdown ratio on with my 700r4 wasnt right with the rod so i found a guy i the paper that had a bunch of extra 67-72 parts and bought a cable set up off him for $20.
i had to drill a hole in the filewall, no problem there. then the bracket that bolts the pedal to the firewall has some kind of a housing that covers the cable from stuff interferring with it but i cut that off cuz i had too much crap under there for it to fit but nothing messes with the cable. and the three bolts for the 71-72 set up dont fit the three bolts for ous so i just used the bottom one then drilled one of the top ones and bolted her up. no problems since and im a lot happier with it cable. let me know if you want any pics and of what
