i just bought A ECE 6" rear drop kit and wanna know
do i need a c notch kit
hows it ride
do i cut the existing bump stops

No notch needed. I don't remember even having to trim my bump stops. That will probably depend on your driving habits. IMO you won't buy better suspension parts. Ride will also depend on tire and wheel combo. Mine was not that much different.

When I did my 4/6, I had a '69 stock rolling chassis in my yard at the same time. Measured out to damn near 6" on the money

You will most likely have to trim down your bumpstops. Depending on the tire you're going to run you may or may not want to notch. I'm still thinking of notching mine. I'm running a 255/35/20 tire which is about 27" tall. It's not hard to do a bolt-in c-notch.

i too will be runnin 20s. not a problem if i need to install a c notch, but rather not spend the $ if not needed. hows your ride 67fleet, do u bottom out?

I just installed this kit myself. I ordered it last Wed night and it was here Wed afternoon, already had it apart before UPS man got here. Worked till dark then finished up thie morning. Been driving around all day havent bottomed out yet, rides alot better and I still havent installed the upper shock relocaters yet waiting to remove the bed for better access. Looks alot better been driving around for last few weeks with an extreme rake 4.5 drop in front.

I would recommend anyone to ECE all top notch stuff, well worth the money.

Rides pretty good, I bottom out occassionally. When I do though, it hurts. The original bumpstops seem to have hardened up pretty good in their old age.

I've put several ECE 6 inch rear drop kits in my trucks over the years.

I remove the rubber bumpstop, and leave the frame brackets there.

I've never c-notched any of them and never bottomed out either.
