Linear actuators
Has anyone used these linear actuators to open hoods or trunks? I've got some Sachse hinges on my hood and was thinking of adding these to lift it.

Re: Linear actuators
Back in my stereo compitetion days those were used a lot. The big thing at that time was amp racks that moved to expose the inner details. Since the amps and rack were heavy linear actuators were the best solution. The only problem is trying to mount them in a central location. Hoods and trunks don't open very evenly when force is applied to one side and not the other, so it requires you to use two. Getting the timing right can be a nightmare....

Re: Linear actuators
Thanks N2. Just trying to find a solution to lift the hood with these Sachse hinges. I'll keep plugging away at it.
