Re: Aluminum Radiators????
i am running a stock aluminum rad with plastic tanks from a 95 ish chevy pickup. it takes a little "massaging" at the bottom of the core support, but seems to work great! my engine is stock 95 block with a manifold and quadrajet on it. cools fine. i believe it is a 3 core.
Oh, and the massaging?....i couldn't bring myself to do it myself, so my dad used a 10ton port-a-power and spread the bottom so the tanks cleared. moved about an inch or so. i hurt watching it, but you can't tell. and had to halve the top rubber mounts, but other than that, it was a drop in! oh, except for the bottom hose that is a little big. found a hose with the right size and bend and coupled to the original size with some exhaust pipe. so, you know, a "drop-in"! |
