Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

I need the boot that seals the power brake pedal rod at the firewall. Is this it? Not a very good discription. It just says power brake boot in the catalog. Any other sources for price comparison? I haven't had much luck searching vendor's online catalogs. This is from Manes Truck parts.

Re: Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

I'm having the same problem as you. I had ordered the power brake boot from GMC Paul's, thinking it was the firewall rubber. But what came, was the boot that fits on the master cylinder. So, I need to know where to get this and the correct name......

Re: Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

I just picked up one on eBay ($13 bucks shipped). It's NOS in a GM box. It is the second one I have scored on eBay. I keep watching by simply typing in "67-72" in the search window. They appear from time to time, just gotta keep watching

Re: Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

You cen get those from any GM dealer for about 10 bucks.

Disconnect the rod from the pedal and slide it on. That is probably the easiest way. I think mine is pointing at the brake pedal.

I bought mine from GMC Paul's a couple months ago. You didn't order the right one, it's the first item at the top of the page, item # 360354:

Re: Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

Thanks guys and thanks for the GM part # too. This is definately a different part than the boot on the backof the booster. This one is $4.95 from Manes. They advertise here on the site.

Re: Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

My wife works at the local Chevy store in service so I sent that GM number to work with her. I'll let you know about the availability and price from Chevy. Lot of times stuff is still available from GM but many people don't even bother to check at the dealer. We'll see.

Re: Need Firewall Boot For Brake Rod

My wife brought it home yesterday but she said they didn't give her a bill yet. I punched in the part number on GM Parts Direct and got this listing and price. Anyone can order GM parts here or use it to varify a number and take it to your dealer. Often dealers don't have any shipping charges if you order it in with their regular parts order.

GM PART # 3759198
CATEGORY: All
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $5.38
OUR PRICE: $3.07
DESCRIPTION: BOOT

Here's the picture of the one I got. Now it's on to finding the clutch rod hole cover.
