Big block towers wanted - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all,

I need to find a set of engine mount towers... putting a big block where a small block used to be. I would prefer the 68-71 style, but will consider the 72 style as well. Let me know what you have and how much.

i have a nos set of 68-71 frame stands 100$ plus the ride

Hope you dont mind me jumping on here , but i need a set for a 72 bb . Have a set for 67 - 71 to trade or sell . Thanks .

I'm just jumping in too, but I'm just curious, what's the difference between the 68-71 BB towers and the SB towers?
I think the 72 BB towers use the newer style 73-up clamshell type engine mounts? But what's the difference in the 68-71 towers?
Anybody got pics?

68-71 BBC mount and a set of 72 BBC mounts

Hey thanks ratrod! Looks like the 68-71 towers are taller, (motor sits higher), than the SB ones. Correct?
Or is it just more clearance for the exhaust manifolds?
