ps pump
I will be trying to bolt on my ps pump this weekend and would like some help. The guy I bought the truck from took the ps off and lost the brackets. I bought brackets from a fellow board member that will work. The guy gave me a ps pump. I would like to know if your ps pump has a 1 or 2 grooved pulley? Mine has a 2 grooved one, and how does the belt pattern look. Pics would be worth 1000 word if you have them. If you need more info to help let me know.
thanks

Re: ps pump
Kody from your thread the other day it sounded like you have alt on pass side with long pump. The long pump brackets did vary through the years. I can show some pics of mine. The crank pulley has three grooves PS two groves Alt. A/C. fan 1 groove. First pic is where bolt goes through hole in water pump boss. Second shows bracket that bolts to rear of pump and eng. Too tight in there to get any better pics, maybe these will help. John

Re: ps pump
Here are pics of the bracket I am going to use. I think this type bracket came off of a short water pump set up. I put this on lose and it dosent apper to have any clearence problems. Does anyone know if I can run this bracket with a long water pump.

Re: ps pump
This is the bracket the guy gave me but I could not figure out how it mounted. I bolted it up through the water pump but I could not figure out how to keep belt tension on it. I think I am missing a bracket so that is why I bought the above one.

Re: ps pump
I have not tried it but everybody says you cannot mix long and short pump pulleys or brackets. The brackets you bought are short pump. The other brackets look correct, you are just missing the bracket that bolts to front of head and front exh man bolt. the 73 up bracket should be fairly easy to find in a wrecking yard. Here is a pic. It should look like this one or similar. Also you will need the two groove pully on the PS pump if you are going to add A/C. Good luck John
