drop spindles & track width

I have read that some dropped spindles actually increase the front track width by 3/4 to 1 1/2" per side. Is that true for all dropped spindles or just certain brands? It doesn't sound like much but I wouldn't want to add any more width to mine. I have an 82 suspension under the front of my 69 with disc brakes.

Re: drop spindles & track width

This post may need to be moved to the suspension forum?

Re: drop spindles & track width

Well ok then. So if i use a 3" drop spring instead of spindle how much suspension travel is left? I mean will I have to worry with bottoming out the front end? Normal driving of course. Thanks.
