Re: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Interior rebuild
Ok, she's done except for the tailgate trim/weather seal and the trim at the front of the bed behind the seats. Checked my daily log and I started the project on November 9. Synopsis of the project:
- I'd like to thank this board for all the information, reinforcement, and "atta boy's" I got. - Took longer than I thought. - I estimate that 80% of the rattles, squeeks, etc have been eliminated. - I am happy with the end result. - I thank the wife for being a "garage widow" for the last month. - Fatmat is worth the effort and expense. - The carpet kit I got from ACC fit well and was easy to install.

Re: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Interior rebuild
Wow the stripper Blazer that I just got my hands on will look *****in' if I can do what you just did. Where do I get the fatman? I have a couple of rolls of dynomat, but that shiz is too expensive to cover the whole floor, sides, doors, etc. The fatman looks similar and I hear it is more cost effective (coverage vs cost compared to the dynomat) BTW yours looks minty fresh from the southwest as mine does, no rust except a little in the rockers. Your floors look as nice as mine.

Re: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Interior rebuild
Thanks all. Fatmat.com. I got the double roll, 100 ft sq. I figure I have a little more than I need to do the outer door skins.

Re: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Interior rebuild
Fatman is on its way here! I may use some of the Dynomat in the doors, as the three Blazers I've had in the past rattled and banged, mostly from the doors.

Re: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Interior rebuild
The tailgate will get the same carpet as the sides (hope I have enough left. The blazer is much more quieter now than it was. Of course driving around in an empty shell before it was finished may have skewed my remembering, but I recommend the sound deadening as a reasonably cheap and easy way to eliminate rattles, squeeks, and exhaust/engine noise.
