cutlass lockouts????

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-...spagenameZWDVW

ok, is this another one of the RARE RARE RARE sightings from someone selling something they know nothing about....or is this an option I have never heard of???
Also.....am I the only one here who shutters at the thought of firing an engine up with "10 year old gas" in the tank???
lastly, I realize many of our trucks were purchased in an age when trucks were for work, not used as daily drivers, and seldom pampered by being put in a garage....but it always amazes me that people honestly believe (or expect others to believe), that all of these ULTRA low mileage vehicles still managed to have over half of their parts scraped, and the other half rust off and fall away (I have a 23 year old cutlass that has NEVER seen a day of rest/pampering in its life....and it still has all of its parts attached....and even though the 6th digit is missing, I wouldn't expect anyone to believe its a 30k car)

Re: cutlass lockouts????

I would not admit to starting it on 10 year old gas and find it hard to believe. Thre does seem to always be something special about the GMC's now I know it is the Cutlass lockouts. 8-)

It "APPEARS" to have been used for parts for the previous owner`s 3,000 mile truck. All the vehicles that I`ve tried to start on ten year old gas don`t make any engine noise, either.Just starter noise:crank crank crank crank crank.
