Re: Removing the stock radio...best way?
It's been a while since I had one out. As I remember the heater controls are kind of in the way of dropping it straight out the bottom? It seems like last time I took one out I had the glovebox out and pulled it through that way. I am sure if there is an easier way someone will jump in and correct me.

Remove the 2 screws under the dash that hold the heater controls and drop it out of the way. Then you should have room to get at the radio.

Re: Removing the stock radio...best way?
Drop the heater like everyone said. The radio is held in by nuts on the shafts and a brace in the rear. Pull the knobs and chrome jobs, use a 5/8 deep socket to remove the nuts and cups. Around on the back there is a brace that runs up to the speaker bracket. Use a 3/8 on that. The wires pull out on the left rear. Thats it.

Re: Removing the stock radio...best way?
I've taken out the glove box on a non-A/C cab. Gave me lots of room.

Tony, Are you looking for a radio? AM?
I offered one to LAWMAN, then he disappeared. I still have it. It'll just cost you shipping. You can PM me if you want.

Re: Removing the stock radio...best way?
I like the FM conversion. Was this a factory option? Aftermarket? Does it play FM on an AM Station or just take over the speakers? If you don't know that's OK.
Send me a PM with a price for shipping to 81050.

Re: Removing the stock radio...best way?
I have one of those laying in the shop. I will look when I get home and post frequency. Pulled it out when I found an underdash FM/8 track at a garage sale.

Re: Removing the stock radio...best way?
Found the FM converter. Realistic model 12-1350B. There is a pot on the bottom that says adjust near 1400.
