73-87s in your 'hood?

How many 73-87s are in your neighborhood? I dont live in a neighborhood so to speak, but on the 1/2 mile long road that i live on, there are a total of 16 73-87s..

2 c-60s
4 c-30 cab and chassis
6 c-10s (2 of which are mine )
1 sub
3 in junkyard (1 c-30 cab and chassis, and 2 c-10s)

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

Well, excluding mine there were four, but one was sold (mid 80's 4x4 blazer), and the last one moved away (82' 2wd Stepside). Now there's only a mid 80's burb and a 76-78' 2wd Short box (stock untouched base truck)

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

Well besides the 3 in my driveway, there is my neighbor Corey with his customised 84 w/ 20's and a silver paint job, a 78 lwb for sale with a blown tranny down the street, another 74 4x4 swb right around the corner that is also for sale, 1/4 mile away is a modified extended cab, a lowered crewcab dually, man there is alot around here now that I stop and think about it.

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

I have three, a guy down the street has a beater plow truck. I see another 4-5 on a regular basis. Seems rust and age is beginning to thin the herd in my area. I see a lot more of the 88 and later trucks now.

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

I've never actually counted, but since you mention it, I will right now...
2 lifted SWB 4x4's
5 lowered stepper's
3 LWB
2 Lowered SWB's
1 Burb
No blazers that I can think of right now...
This is in a 1/4 mile x 1/4 mile section...

Yeah, these days school parking lots look like a new car lot around here!

There are three in my neighborhood counting mine.
One is a green 86 LWB for sale
Another next door to them is a lifted 85ish black LWB- Very Nice
The other is one I call my own

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

I've got a few around me.

2 K5's: mine and a mid 80's down the street
1 c10 longbox stepside (still used for Gornick Furniture) Nice shape though
1 c10 shortbox fleetside Two tone orange/tan with 5 slot mags (nice driver)
1 c20 flatbed
1 c30 restored with a utility box (sweet looking work truck)
1 K10 lifted 6-8" on 38" ground hawgs.
1 K20 stock but repainted (was for sale but somebody else around here bought it)
1C30 dually crew cab (beater quality)

Recently seen some dude prowling around in a tan K5, lifted with roof mounted off road lights. Not sure if he lives around here though.

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

Including mine, I can think of 8. I crew cab, 4 pickups, 1 Blazer, and 2 Suburbans (one is mine). In fact, one of the pickups has the identical factory paint job and stripe as mine!

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

Well there is 3 possibly 4 in my neighborhood. My neighbor had or has a 83-84 silverado lwb, but I havent seen it in about two weeks. The next street over lurks a lifted mid to late 70's lwb and the sucker is in mint condition aside for the need of a carb adjustment/fine tuning. Up the street is another mid 70's swb that runs and looks straight and is ready for restoration. Mine would make four. Myself at one time had two parked out front. My brother owns a 87 lwb, but he's not in my hood.

Re: 73-87s in your 'hood?

In my immediate neighborhood, there's mine and a gold one right across the street. His has some rust, but overall is a pretty solid, stock truck.

In my overall area, there are still a bunch of nice, mostly later, 73-87 trucks. All of them are 4x4, and almost all of them (at least the nice ones) are lifted and running at least 33s.
