Post Brought home a '72 4x4 burb today......

I flew to Denver yesterday, checked it out, drove 700 miles home to Montana and just got in. It looks great next to our '72 pickup.

Its got some horrible body work, but is pretty straight and rust free. Here are the details:
'72 3/4ton 4x4 GMC (2500 super custom)
Front and rear factory A/C, still works
Rear heat, works great
Barn doors (he threw in an extra set also)
Tilt
HUGE 40 gallon tank
110,000 (now 111,000) miles
Three seats
Wood grain door panels
350/th350/np205
Nasty upholstery and carpet
GMC grill is in nice shape
Excellent towing setup with trailer brake
Someone put on headers, glasspacks, edlebrock carb and RPM performer intake. It sounds terrible, but runs great.
411 gears

I got about 9 mpg even considering driving about 75 mph into a 50-60 mph headwind through most of Wyoming. Minor electrical problem (battery terminals were not tightened) kept me in Billings last night, but had mom's cooking....

Looks like its time to change my signature and add this one. It needs a ton of interior work and some exterior, but that's half the fun. I can thank my wife for agreeing to this instead of a minivan.

Its actually a very dark green on the outside and olive green on the inside. I've got no idea why they changed the outside color without doing the inside. It's also one of the worst paint jobs I've ever seen, looks fine from 20' though.

Congrats on the new Burb Al. I could not help not notice your location - Bozeman. I grew up just south of Livingston on 89. Beautiful country though the wind blows just a tad bit . . .

Brad,

Finally! I've been looking for 8 months or so. Thanks for looking at the one in Oklahoma. Hopefully this one will be better.

Fellow Montanan,

Paradise Valley is looking great right now. You should come back some time.

Your right, its great country. My brother-in-law leases a ranch in Paradise Valley. Just finished branding calves last week. If you are familiar with the Wineglass Mountain that's where my dad's ranch was before he sold it. Also had land up at Cokedale. Good elk hunting country.
