Has Anyone done this

Has anyone done what I am doing putting a(71) pickup cab on(72) blazer Frame. I have had this blazer for twenty years and it rusted beon repair. I could not part with it and could not find another body so why not try. I also have a 90 stepside bed that I will shorten 11 inches. Does anyone have pictures of one of these done.

So far I have the cab body on the frame running and doing the body work on the cab and front clip.

Re: Has Anyone done this

Search the blazer forum for the "trazer" thread, it should have pics of what you're wanting to do.

Here's a shot of one a member has for sale in another post. Not a 90's bed but it is a step side on a blazer frame...

Re: Has Anyone done this

Looks pretty cool! Nice work.

Have you thought about arching the rear wheel opening to match the front?

Re: Has Anyone done this

I think I still prefer the fleetside look with them, but in any fashion they remind me of my son's hot wheels. Funny, but cool

Re: Has Anyone done this

I'll try to post pic's tomorrow of my trazer project. Just welded the front of a long bed on to the original blazer bed. Alot of work. If you don't want to cut off the bottom rear of cab, you have to put 2" body lift. Otherwise it hits the frame where it comes up. You also have to change rear cab mount or add to the blazer mount. Good luck.........Rick
