87 SWB on Ebay (not mine-ended)

Did any of you guys see this truck on Ebay? It is very nice looking, but I can't believe that it sold for so little. Looks like it was a good deal for the high bidder if the truck was everything that was described and appeared to be.

Re: 87 SWB on Ebay (not mine-ended)

Actually, that looks like it may not have been a legit auction. When I clicked on the high bidder's feedback it had a link to the same truck from an auction that ended the week before. Looks like he bought it for about $6500. I'm not sure why it was reposted. Maybe he backed out. If so, the owner lost a lot of money running the auction the second time. Here is the link to the first auction.

Re: 87 SWB on Ebay (not mine-ended)

looks like some shady deals to me. Auction one ends, guy leaves Positive feedback for the winner then relists truck stating "personal issues arose with previous bidder", but previous winner is again the new winner :-/ hrmm

Re: 87 SWB on Ebay (not mine-ended)

There are soo many things about that truck that look exactly like Bigarmzz truck that it makes you wonder . The Digital paintbooth software advertised on the top of this page would make it possible to "repaint" a picture of Bigarmzz truck and list it in an Ebay auction. The tire size , wheel size , drop, grille , no cab moulding , etc are identical on both trucks . I am sure this isnt the case but it makes you wonder .Frank

You'd think that after going through all the trouble of taking the bed off to paint the truck, he would have shot a coat of paint on the engine too?

Re: 87 SWB on Ebay (not mine-ended)

I am willing to bet that the high bidder is a shill. it's the same guy different account, a friend, or relative helping him drive the price up. same guy bid on another auction from the same seller for an old Cadilliac, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6146

ebay frowns on that big time, I have turned people in for that in the past and they banned.. what do you think?? turn him in??

I like the paint scheme. I would've gone with a smaller tribal flame border though. But to each, his own.
