Speedo Cable HELP
Hi guys its been a while, work has had me too busy to keep on my project 72 GMC I hope you all have been well.
My son will be 16 the 2 nd of April so I need to get moving on my project 72 GMC 4x4... Problem I need to solve right now is setting up a spedo cable, I swapped out the TH350 and 72 transfercase for a 700R4 and T case from a 1986 1/2 ton 4x4 Surburban now the orignal spedo cable is 1-2 feet short from hooking up to the new trans-Tcase anybody know how I can extend the cable or replace it with one that is long enough? Thanks in advance |

Re: Spedo Cable HELP
Go to Autozone or Advanced and get the longest cable they have. I think it's around 80".....

Re: Speedo Cable HELP
Ok I went to Auto zone today and bought the longest cable they had I think it was 84" it was just barely long enough to fit and it works I wish they made one 90" long.
Now all I need to do is get the proper gear to make it read right, the Suburban the trans/T-case came out of had 3.42 gears the current truck has 4:10 gears, looking at the GPS it reads 10 mph fast... Though I had a fast truck their for a minute heh Thanks 70GMCer for the tip!!! |
