Broke the bank ordering all new rubber!!!

I ordered all new rubber for my Blazer today including window rubber for the top from LMC. Cost me over $400, dosen't that hurt
Were can I get a new rear lid t-handle and the gasket tor the handle. Anyone done any custom way to open the rear lid? Thanks, Kade

The rubber gets expensive. At least you only have to do it every 30 years or so.

There aren't any new/reproduction hatch handles available. You'll have to search for used or get creative. Someone said that you can get a t-handle that is very similar at the local hardware store. As for the gaskets, I've seen them someplace. Did they not list them in LMC? Ya might check with some of the vendors on the board.

i spent about the same and the sad part is after i was all done it still leaks as bad as it did before. Oh well. The new rubber has the new car smell

Northern Tool & Equip. carries one T-handle. An unnamed vendor (because I don't remember who I ordered it from) charges $25 for this same piece.

Cut the shaft to fit, get new SS hardware to mount it.

Wish I would have seen those t-handles before I paid big $$$ for an original and still had to have keys made for it..

Yeah, it was going to cost me about $50 to have mine re-chromed and I still don't have a key.
