Can someone give me some info about 4 spd trannies with PTO shafts
Hey guys my 67 lwb fleetside truck has a 4 spd tranny with another smaller shaft sticking out of the back. I am assuming it is a PTO shaft of some type. Can anyone show me some pics or tell me what this was possibly used for? IS this kind of transmission rare??

PTO's were used to drive accessories like winches and hydraulic motors for tilt beds and snow plows. I would guess that someone either modified the tranny or did a swap to add the pto. Not that rare, but some people are looking for them. You can remove the pto drive if you have the cover plate to replaced it. You might want to go to the Stovebolt page and ask if you want more info.
