Re: Back of cab sheet metal panel even made?

Hey, didn't hear about your accident. What happened? I know, when I saw it last, your had the fancy after market A/C stuff. Was it originally an A/C, so that is what you are looking for? I may have a cab with a decent back portion if you can show me what area was damaged. btw - I have a 67 small window cab for sale that could possibly be a donor too.

Re: Back of cab sheet metal panel even made?

I do not know what is going on between you and the ins. co. but keep in mind that the price for a cab is the small part of the whole picture. You then need to strip your cab, prep and paint the new one, rewire it, re seal everything, re align it all (you need this anyways if wrecked) and then start to replace everything back to how it was. Now if you are doing this your self and out of your pocket then have at it. If the ins. co. is paying they may not want to go the new cab route and could total the truck instead of spending all the money on a cab swap.

This is just what was going thru my mind as I read the post. Do you have any pic's to the damage! Good luck with it all an dI hope it work out for you. I have been thru this with a show car (wrecked 12 hrs after the photos were taken for the mag's) and it really sucks to have to rebuild what you have already finished.
