Fuel Injected Big Block. HOW???
Has anyone ever converted a 396/402/427/454 to fuel injection? How do you do it? Are there any performance gains? Or is it just a big pain in the @ss for nothing?
Also, does anyone have a LS6 454 long block they would like to give me? Chance

Re: Fuel Injected Big Block. HOW???
I haven't, but I know you're looking at spending at least $2k to do the conversion. Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI kit is what I found when looking into converting a ZZ4 in a project truck I was looking to buy. In particular, I bookmarked this article:
http://www.fourwheeler.com/techarticles/129_0407_efi/ I hope that helps.

Re: Fuel Injected Big Block. HOW???
I've done it.
Small Block 406. Throttle Body Injected. 700R4 Tranny. I burn my own chips using my emulator/ programmer. WB O2 to go in this week. Awesome gains. The tunability on Fuel and spark alone make it worth the swap. 22 mpg highway with the tune just roughed in. 14-16 MPG city rompin on it on a bad day. 454 could be done with the proper throttle body.....same harness. |
