WTB: Chrome wing windows
Looking for a complete near perfect set of Chrome wing windows, if just the handles need replaced that is ok other than that I'm looking for no pitting and good rubber and no rust.

Re: WTB: Chrome wing windows
I've got a set of clear glass vent windows. I haven't been able to find any pits in the chrome, just dirt on them. I also have a set of rubber and rivits so they can be rebuilt. I'll also get some pics by tomorrow night. I bet teeitup will have a better price though.

Sorry guys, the set I have I need to keep for my blazer. I checked the ones on the blazer and these are better shape so I need to keep them for it. Sorry, Randy
I have some others but I haven't had time to get out there and look at them yet.

Re: WTB: Chrome wing windows
Sorry for the tardy reply.
Here are pics of the vent windows. I also have a set of rubber for them. Some of the rivits are missing though. I also think I have the vent handles but I couldn't find them for the picture. The chrome is in great shape, just needs some polishing. I used an old t-shirt rag and wiped on a section in one of the pictures. You can't really tell, but it looks great. I haven't examined everything, but I pulled them b/c they were in such good shape. I'd want $150 shipped for them. High, but these are in great shape. |

Re: WTB: Chrome wing windows
Do you know how to do the seal replacement? I was hoping I could get them around $100

Re: WTB: Chrome wing windows
I HAVE 5 OR 6 PAIRS THAT I NEED TO MOVE. THEY ARE ALL IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION, & I'VE SOLD PROBABLY A DOZEN SETS ON EBAY & NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT. THEY'VE ALL SOLD FOR $120"BUY IT NOW" + $20 SHIPPING. "NEAR PERFECT" IS A BOLD STATEMENT. I WOULD NEVER DESCRIBE ANY OF MINE AS "NEAR PERFECT" AS EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT IDEA OF WHAT NEAR PERFECT ON A 34 TO 38 YEAR OLD USED PART IS , & IS A SURE WAY TO START AN ARGUMENT. SHOOT.. THE NEAR PERFECT MONIKER ALONE OUGHT TO MAKE THEM WORTH $200 OR $300 . JOHN

Re: WTB: Chrome wing windows
I'm going to hold on the $150 shipped. New sets cost $350. The rubber rebuild kit alone is worth $30 which would put me in line with junkyardjohn.
To rebuild isn't that tough. You drill out some rivits that holds the frame and rubber together and just replace the old with new (and re-rivit the assembly together). I think it took me 4 hours one Saturday to tear them down and put them back together. I also removed the glass and had to find some sealer to put the glass back in. |
