BBC headers

Hello gang-I am in the process of gathering all the stuff to put the 454 in. Looking at headers and I seem to be having trouble finding a set. All that I find for oval port heads are for a Camaro/Chevelle. No oval port for trucks, just round. Also, they state "No colum shift auto tranny". What are you guys using? Any clearance problems with the car headers? I did a search on the board, but didn't find anything.

Re: BBC headers

I'm running hooker comp headers HOK-2454HKR on my 69 oval port 454 and they match up well. no problems with auto shift linkage. I have run hedman elites and as I remember they matched well also, hope this helps.

Re: BBC headers

The 2455's are the Chevelle headers & Ive used them. I just bent the shift linkage over a little & it cleared just fine. They tuck up high in the rails & I made a different trans XO for clearance but you may be able to just mod it a bit. If your truck is lowered I recommend the chevelle headers...

Re: BBC headers

I just with the cheapy autozone Flow-Tech's for now. May upgrade once the 454 is in and running good.
