Drop kits
Looking into doing a 3.5" x 5" drop on my 1968 long fleetside, and I am worried about ground clearance. I want to change all the drums to discs, and have been looking at the packages provided by Early Classic Enterprises. Any words of wisdom? Is ECE easy to deal with? Should I c-notch the frame with that much drop in the back? What type of drop have you done, and did you have to learn any lessons the hard way? Please help, I am new to this and I don't have a lot of experienced help. Thanks for your time,

I just orderd from ECE. They are great to deal with now I will just have to wait for my kit. I went with the 2.5/4 drop.

72 GMC longbed, sb w/ ac auto. We installed a 4.5" / 5". 15" 255/60 - 275/60 tire. Can no longer use floor jack in front without rolling truck on 2x4's. Looks really good. Had to swap out full length headers to 3/4 length. My 17 year old son drives it daily. Watch out for dips, speed bumps.

ECE is top notch.I first did their 2 1/2- 4 drop kit-no problems at all.Later I added 1'' drop springs to the front and 6'' drop springs in the rear for a 3 1/2 - 6 drop.It fills the wheel wells real nice with my 15' rims

If you are ever down in Olympia, stop in and I will show you all kinds of different lowered suspension options...in stock, so you can see them before you buy them.

With the longbox and a 5 inch spring drop in the back are there any clearance issues with the swing arms, axle, and frame? The front will be simple with the drop spindles and the 1 inch springs, the back has me a little worried. Any overall ground clearance issues? I want this to be a driver, and around my part of the world the roads are uneven.....
