What kind of mods did you have to make on your truck to make it work, can u use the stock pedal bracket and pedal? How about the prop valve use the new one or the old?

I am curious also. It sure would look nice to have the booster bolted directly to the firewall....*BUMP* & TTT for ya'

i just put a '92 sub. mc & booster on my '72 chevy 2wd p/u. the mods weren't too bad. i had to modify the booster bracket at the bottom right side for steering clearance issue. then the rod to the pedal on the inside needed to be switched out with the one from the suburban it is a little short but it works, still feels real solid. if i remember right i had to put another nut at the end of the rod. that is all i remember doing to get the booster & mc to actually fit on the firewall & connect up. it wasn't too bad it should be pretty easy for the most of you, i am not a fab wiz so i try to keep things simple.

i had to cut out a little square section of the lower right side of the bracket to clear the steer. column bracket to the firewall. i just used my handy dandy dremel with a cutoff wheel. if i remember right i think it was about 1" or so of the corner. other then what was listed before that was it. i would take a pic or two, but i don't know if i can post them muchless how...

if i get some help i will be glad to take a few & get them to you...

If you get the pictures there is an FAQ that outlines how to post pictures. Pretty much you just have to resize them so that the largest demension is 642 and the picture is no more than 100 kb.

We don't have to have pictures if you don't have the time, I think I can get it with just the write-up. Thanks for all the information you have already provided us with.

I ordered a smaller diameter dual diaphram setup (including master cylinder, prop valve for disk/drum) From NO LIMIT ENGINEERING (909)386 7637 for $361 and that was 5 years ago. Great setup, bolts right in stock location (1972 1/2 ton). At the time they didnt have the little swivel/heim joint piece to bolt it to the pedal. So after completely smoking an old drill, I got a new hole in the pedal to put the bolt through. I found out later, from some random person, that it is a booster from an astro van. I havent confirmed that. I can get pictures later, working at the moment.
