Actually - my wife called me just after I got it back in the garage, and said where she was at at the time it was hailing pea size.

Those people who had a maniac pulling in their garage between my sister-in-law's and my house wouldn't have known what to think!

Oh, I'd have been a little freaky on that one too. Actually I drove like a maniac trying to beat the rain, and did make it to my road - just the wrong end of before the rain hit.

I live in the top left corner of GA - Ringgold. Coming up I-75 it's the last city before TN/Chattanooga. Have heard of Hartwell - can't say I've been there for sure though.

Ok, looked up Ringgold, you're just north of Dalton, heard of Dalton. The Google map I was looking at doesn't show rivers but doesn't the chattahoochee run through there somewhere?

Anyway, Hartwell is abot 15 miles east of I-85 about 20 minutes from south carolina line. Best thing about it was the lake, man I miss all that water! lol

I used to work in Dalton. And, as a matter of fact, my name is Dalton. So I'll let you guess on the ribbing I took for that. The Chattahoochee doesn't come up this far north, but I am familiar with it of course being a Georgian.

With your description of Hartwell, I know whereabouts you were now. I would have looked it up the other night - but I had pulled an all nighter Friday nite, and was feeling mighty tired.

was just looking at you engine compartment and noticed you don't have a spacer under the carb. I'm wondering if you have any problem heat transfer/gas boiling out of the bowl after you shut it down.

I ask because I have this problem and a spacer is one of the things on my to-do list.

I have never had this problem. Only thing I can think is perhaps different intake? Mine is the Performer RPM high rise aluminum...don't know if that makes the difference from what you have. If you got the same thing - then I'll just shut up and say - uhhh, I dunno.
