'79 radiator in 80's truck?

I bought a brand new HD 4 core radiator for my Suburban I ended up parting out. I only put about 1000-1500 miles on it.
I tried putting it in my '81 GMC Jimmy but it was taller so the upper mounts wouldn't work.
Does anyone know if this will actually fit and clear the hood if I fabbed up some brackets or is this a lost cause?

Re: '79 radiator in 80's truck?

You should be able to get the required brackets and shroud from the dealer. I believe the 4 core radiator was primarily used with big block trucks.

You normally can't find the shrouds and mounts around in here in a junk yard since most pull the engine and trans first thing and destroy a lot of underhood stuff while doing the pull.
