Long bed all the way, long smooth lines, Me likes. let them convert them to shorties. soon the LWB will be the hard to find ones and then we will be laughing.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, and this is my opinion, and we all know about opinions. But, when I see a shortbed, lowered, with loud mufflers, all I think is rice. Those trucks are a type-R sticker and a spoiler away from looking like all the other crap out there.

There are what, two or three drag trucks on this forum that are actually fast? Less than 100 on this forum that had $10k+ in frame off suspension work done that actually ride nice. But you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a room full of people cutting a perfectly functional long wheel base truck down and sticking a half-ass big block rebuild under the hood.

Again this is just my opinion.

I'm really trying to keep my truck Authentic at least with the original Block, Frame, and Vin #. Is a non original SWB worth more that a original LWB

All I see are longbeds around here. When I see a swb is it really something special, and I think they look better.

I just like the looks of the short bed better.. the lines flow better with the cab and front end.. it just looks proportioned correctly... i only like long beds if they are x-cabs or crew cabs... I looked for a long time till I found a shortbed 2wd in my price range

I love both long and short. I have a perfectly nice 71 LWB that Ive had for 4 years now and a 67 LWB GMC for 8 mos. The GMC is the one that will receive the cutting torch. I want 1 of each length! (Variety Is The Spice Of Life!)

I'm a bit surprised nobody has mentioned that a swb can go places off-road that will stop a lwb truck. Then again, maybe it's no surprise -- likely not many are taken off road anymore.

I have both a 91 shorty,70 longbed i like them both.i use my shorty for DD,working on my 70 hope to have it running pretty soon.it's all in what you want in a truck.

I have a short/step, but would prefer a 4x4 long fleet because mine is used almost exclusively for work. I love the truck and would love to drive it for other things, but I couldnt' afford the gas if I wanted to.

I have a LWB because it was free. it ha sbeen in the family for a long time and it is now a heap I get to redo, Iused to want a SWB but the longbed has grown on me. I would really like a Long Step for the what the he!! is that factor.

I like the look of 3/4 and 1 tons with long beds and Lornhorn beds. They look like work truck. They have a certain toughness to their look. Even some stock (or higher) 1/2 tons and 4X4's look OK w/ LWB.

Now... It is my opinion that a lowered and modded LWB looks like absolute A$$. I mean terrible! I've never seen one that I didn't say to myself, "Man, that would look good if it were a SWB." Again, that's just my opinion.

If I were about to do a full resto and spend big $$$ on a truck, and it wasn't a Lornhorn or 3/4-1 ton, I would go with a SWB. I honestly don't think you'd would ever come even close to getting your money back with a 1/2 ton LWB truck.

My 84 was a shortbed converted from long. I think the look WAY better short. The 67-72's look better long. Thats just me so thats why Ive got a long 69. To each their own, thats why they made both.
