Add-a-leafs

Anything wrong with using add-a-leafs as a 2in lift? Anyone using them, do they work fine? How much harder is the ride? Are they worth the install, how hard are they to put in? Thanks.

Re: Add-a-leafs

They are a good cheap way to go.They`ll stiffen up the ride some. They`re a bit of a pain to put back together.

Re: Add-a-leafs

There fine if your going to have some weight in the truck all the time. I put them in mine and took them back out. With no weight in the truck you could tell if a dime was heads or tales when you ran over it.

Re: Add-a-leafs

YIKES. I don't want those then, my truck rides pretty good as is. I just wanted to put her up in the air a few inches cheaply.

Re: Add-a-leafs

There a short 1/2" thick leaf with a stiff arch that replaces the bottom leaf of your spring pack, and it forces all the leafs tight together so there is no progression in the springs, just every leaf all at once.
