My First Hotrod

Here's the deal
Always wanted to build a hotrod, but I need to learn all the skills, welding, bodywork, ext. I found two pennsylvina pickups a 69 LWB and 70 SWB Both have a rust spot in the upper right corner of the windshield. Can this be fixed.

Are you talking about on the inside above the windshield,,like around the sun visor mount? This area above the windshield is the "header panel" and it`s made for repairs. This problem is due to bad body-sealer(caulk)in the gutter on the roof. There`s a seam at the corner that likes to leak. The area could be patched in with or without the repro panel.

Re: My First Hotrod

First off...welcome to the board from sunny Seattle, WA! Anything is possible...learn the skills and proceed. Look into your local community college for technical night classes in body work. You can take your cab in there, learn something and get the work done using their tools!
