Yah, I've got the flyer hanging up on the wall in the garage. It definitely says October 13. Long Beach is November 10, I think.

Paint, I got an e-mail from Charlie saying He plans to leave Friday afternoon.

You sure, I thought Long Beach was last weekend. I was going to go but I found a garage sale that took all my money away from me for the weekend

Yup, Nov 10 for Long Beach. Just checked the flyer

Paint, Don't forget to have D Rat send me address info and location for that rear end. Sounds like we'll be going thru Casa Grande Friday late afternoon.

I personally haven't been to Long Beach before. I've been told it is not as big as Pomona.
The next Pomona (after this weekend) is December 8th. The swap runs from 5AM to 2PM. I have never been able to walk the entire thing in one day, although I have tried. Sellers of vehicles or of parts can get in Saturday, starting at 9AM sharp. Spectators can't get in until Sunday at 5AM. Some of the best deals are made on Saturday, but sellers roll in all day and night on Saturday. Some people sleep there, but I get a motel room. We sometimes bring a grill and eat there. There are concession stands, but I can cook up burgers faster than waiting in line on Sunday. They charge us $20.00 to bring in 2 people, a tow vehicle, trailer, and a car for sale. I THINK the charge for parts sellers is higher, like $40.00, but don't hold me to it, I've never brought parts over to sell. By the Dec swap, it will still be dark at 5AM, but people are all over the place with flashlights. The first time I saw the swapmeet, I couldn't believe how big it was. I'm addicted to it now, and rarely miss it.

Hey Bill,
DR gave me directions, I'll send them tonight. I don't have access to my hotmail account at work(internet security). If you and Charlie head out on Friday afternoon, I can probably meet you at your motel either Fri. when you get in, or Sat. before you head over. I'm only an hour from Pomona.

Gee Em, Its probably 1-1 1/2 hours, it depends on traffic. How long are you gonna be out for?

72Bill, I'll be making a quick trip out, prob just long enough to pick up the rear end. It'll either be Friday night or Saturday morning, whichever is easier for Buster.

Paint, I need to know where D Rat is leaving the rear end. IF we get away at 2PM, and stopping at Micah's in Casa Grande, it'll be pushing midnight when we get to Pomona. We intend to drop the car off the trailer and put it in line, park the trailer (with your rearend tied to the front of it) (God, that sounds terrible, doesn't it?)and chain it to the fence, as usual. Then we'll head back to the motel in Ontario for a nap. We usually have breakfast at a restaurant at Vineyard (or Vineland, I never remember) and about the entrance to the airport when they open at 6AM, then head back to Pomona. If you come in to Pomona Saturday AM, prior to 9AM when the confusion starts, they won't charge you to come in. We can take you to my trailer and give you the rearend and you can be on your way. Remember, my cell # is 520=904-1640. Charlie's is 520-906-8948.

Let me know directions and location of the rearend.

Bill

Buster, DR said he would have the rear end in the bed of his primered 69, parked in front of his house. He said the neighbors shouldn't think anything because there are parts coming and going all the time. When I get home, I'll e-mail you the directions. Saturday morning shouldnt be a problem at all. Thanks.

Long Beach isn't as big but it is eavry month. I find some good stuff out there. It's about 30% vendors anf 70% regular guys selling off there old stuff. You can find info on both at this link http://www.ecoparts.com/
