The Man in Brown
OK I've ordered about every part imaginable for the blazer in the last 3 months but have yet to catch the sneeky ups guy on the first time around, leaving me waiting all weekend for the part I really want to see.I'm convinced he hides around the corner from my house waiting for me to leave and then BAM stuffs his yellow sticky on the door. This time he really pissed me off because I'm expecting my soft top and my new outer grille and to make matters worse they stopped filling out the spot on the card that tells me who the delivery is from.I'm debating building a giant ups guy trap and waiting for this guy.

Re: The Man in Brown
If you are not to far from the UPS terminal you could call and pick up your items. Or dig a pit in your driveway big enough to drop at least the front of the UPS truck into.

Re: The Man in Brown
Apparently all the trucks at our terminal park inside side by side bumper to bumper so pick ups are only allowed after they try 3 times to deliver, looks like the pit might be the way to go

Re: The Man in Brown
I put a note on the front door telling them to just leave it with my signature on it when expecting something from UPS or Fedex. It works every time for me. Chris

Re: The Man in Brown
Put an automatic gate on your drive way that opens for him and then will not open when he wants to leave..

I live in Canada so when a package arrives we pay duty or don't get it I guess that would be nice in the US

Re: The Man in Brown
I've left a note with my signature several times also and it works, but I really like the pit idea much better.
The duty thing would throw a wrench in the note concept. Last edited by Chevyman63; 06-04-2006 at 10:40 AM. |

Re: The Man in Brown
Have your dog leave the doody in his path. He`ll get tired of cleaning his shoes, leave the package, and pay the duty for you.

Re: The Man in Brown
Trailzen I hear ya on that nonsense, and the duty's suck but I love my truck enough to tolerate it.
I don't know how many times I've made the effort to be there and they still manage to sneak away on me. Only ONCE was I lucky enough to get a phone call before delivery but that was because they forgot to drop off the heaviest part of several package order from the day before and the driver wanted a hand to get it off the truck.

Re: The Man in Brown
All of the FedEx and UPS guys know me becasue they deliver to my work so even when a package has my home address on it they just bring it to me at work. It works for me.

If its not a huge parcal, have it shipped USPS, and the fee is only $5 per parcel.. You can always self clear from Customs. Where are you from anyways???

Re: The Man in Brown
Brantford Ontario,I have also used a US shipping adress before but sometimes its speed and time that become more important,or the lack of any spare time.
