Fuelcell guy tank ....
It got here today and I am soo happy since it is one of the last things I need to button up the chassie. It looks great I think I know how it goes in but not 100% do I just sandwich the aluminum between the frame and steel strips? and if so should I wait to hang it till I get the hidden hitch installed? Any help would be great. Also what should I use for fuel line and vent tube from the back alllll the way up front. thanks again and great work from fuel cell guy.

Re: Fuelcell guy tank ....
I have a FCG tank and am in the process of putting it in and running the lines too. First I am wire wheel/derusting, painting the rear part of my frame and replacing trailering arms bushings. For the tank I will sandwich some kind of thin rubber inbetween the tank flange and the frame and bolt it in place. The two rear cross braces in the frame need to be removed. As for fuel line I bought 25' of 3/8" doublewall aluminum tubing. A little bending here and there (harbor freight sells a bender for $6.99), a couple a fittings or two and it will meet up with the fuel pump at the block. Vent will go straight up above the tank.
Hope this helps Alex Last edited by ChevyDude; 06-09-2006 at 11:12 PM. |
