Work truck finally done!
Well heres mine, It's not a sleek little half ton hot rod like what most of you like but it works for me.What was supposed to be a couple month project took me about a year and a half. This was a california rust free Custom Camper/30 with 54000 on the OD. I toyed with the idea of fixing the camper but there was just too much rotten stuff to fix. So off it came. 28" of frame sectioned out to fit the utility bed, a front disc xmember swap, and a little mounting mods to a dana 70 rear I found under a little bus at pick and pull. A 454 replaced the 402 that was in there. My nephew came over and painted base coat clear coat with factory colors.
I also put in a vitage air ac unit. When I was young I didnt need ac but I cant live without it now!! Last edited by Olden Days; 06-18-2006 at 12:46 PM. |

I sure hope that dog isn't getting ready to pee on your tire! Great looking truck. My dad always used to drive utility body trucks. Chris

Re: Work truck finally done!
You have to be a very proud daddy to drive such a sweet machine around. I have a cab that has the walk through section cut. Your pictures will help me with it. BY THE WAY, would the camper mirrors on the red truck be for sale!!!! dpkratz@bellsouth.net Thanks, Dan
