According to this thread, it would seem they were factory as early as 72. Don't know about prior to that. My 68 GMC has a slider also. Would be nice to know if it's original. Sadly, my option sticker is long gone....

If the sticker doesn't list it it's more than likely either a dealer add on or aftermarket...

My Dealer Truck Data Book for '69, doesn't list any window options, at all. At least, not until you get to the 50-series and up. They came with the small (1967) back window, unless the buyer anted up another $43.05 (MSRP) for the "Window, Full-View Rear" A10, option.

Mine has one, and I'm pretty sure it's original. I havn't had a chance to look at the sticker yet. My father bought this truck when it was about 5 years old and it's had that window in it since he bought it. Mine is a 70.
