bed change

This might be a dumb question but can you put a 88-98 bed onto a 71 gmc. I've seen it done with stepsides but never a fleetside. If you can does much work go into it as far as cutting or does it bolt up. Does anyone have a picture of a truck like this. Thanks for all the help

Re: bed change

it can be done... and I'll assume maybe some holes being drilled and maybe some washers as specers... but I beg the question... Why would you want to? Nothing lines up at all.

Just my 2 cents...and a pic for proof.

Re: bed change

I agree with Andy. Kinda like putting a Ford bed on a Dodge.... they just flat out don't match. Or look good.
