Another followed me home type post

Been over a year and thought I was finally done but when things pop up you have to pay attention. My garbage man told me about this one. Had to go look and thats always the first mistake. I didn't have a 4x4 so this one kind of appealed to me. Plus it is a 72 which is my favorite year for these trucks.
So of course it followed me home after looking at it!!
Anyway heres the details:
1972 GMC longbox 4x4
low mileage on recently rebuilt 350 original engine
Rebuilt 350 auto tranny
rebuilt 308 rear end
307 front gears
crappy tires and wheels had to take a couple with me just to dolly it home
Lots of dents and dings.
Usual rocker and corner rust but the frame looks great and maybe has been redone at one time cause there is very little rust on it for Iowa truck.
On with the pics as thats always the fun part anyways!!!!

What are you going to do with it, part it, restore it, work truck or what? Good buy.

Looks like a good truck to play in the mud with until you get ready to fix 'er up.

Re: Another followed me home type post

JAKE It will go in line to be restored. Maybe be bumped towards the front alittle as IGOTACHEVYOR2 pointed out it is my best (and Only) 4x4.Kind of like the fact that it's a GMC also as I really do prefer the looks of the front end. Just not as many of them around here. 72CSTC5 It looks like a piece of crap but in Iowa thats pretty good shape for a 4x4. Of course I didn't spend $1100 on it I wouldn't do that even In Iowa as I already have 5 more waiting to be done. So now I just pick up the ones that come looking for me (sort of).I used to look for good cab trucks but here in Iowa you are almost always gonna do corners rockers floors and supports.
So if the rocker is totally rusted off it just saves me alittle more time not having to cut it off!!!! The rest of the body panels are easily replaced so that really doesn't matter to me.

Re: Another followed me home type post

Oh good so you have parts trucks to put it together because I was thinking that was going to get expensive.
