slots with pics...
Here you take some ratty old looking slots, spend about an hour each polishing them, run to your buddys with the tire machine and balancer, give them one more cleaning, bolt them to the truck and here is how it looks. Enjoy.
For those wondering, 8 1/2" on the rear, and 7" on front with 235/75/15s. Used mothers mag and aluminum polish. Good stuff!!!

Re: slots with pics...
Nothing wrong with a nice set of slots.I have sanded and polished those old slots, and they will come back from the dead with enough elbow grease.
Great looking truck

Re: slots with pics...
Slots go with these trucks like factory hubcaps. They look like they were made for them.I`m a slot kinda guy,I guess.BTW,I believe they are being made for 1/2Ts as Ansen Sprints, again.

Re: slots with pics...
Thanks for the compliments... You should have seen the rusty white spokes that WERE on it. I should have a pic somewhere of that.

Re: slots with pics...
Those new slots are not like the old ones. The old style have a "deep dish" look to them, while the new ones are quite shallow. American Racing offers one backspacing option that creates the "shallow look". This is fine if that is the look you want, but they don't look like the stuff from the 70's. I think slots look really good on these trucks, especially if they have a fairly stock looking exterior. Gives the truck sort of a "day after" appearance. Good job on making them shine, Eric!

Re: slots with pics...
Nice work indeed!
Man, I had slots on my '72 Grand Prix and then again on my '70 Cuda. I would love a set for my '69 truck, but it wouldn't go with the look I'm trying to get. |
