Re: My truck
Cool trucks, the stepside fenders are also different (look like the 66 and older). Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! You're English is excellent, the only thing I noted was the j instead of h in haha.

Re: My truck
Welcome to the board from Sweden.
I saw there was at least one more member from Argentina on the board, but with a 74 truck, see the link:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=201696 I would love to see a glove box door option sticker from an Argentina truck to see if there are any rare options.

Re: My truck
Once again, awesome truck pics.
I've noticed another oddity...on the fleetside beds, the top body line dosen't dip down towards the rear of the bed in a curved fastion like the American trucks. It looks straight the entire length of the bedside. Also, behind the rear wheelwell the sheetmetal looks different (possibly flat there too?) but I can't tell how exactly. One way or the other, cool trucks! I wonder where they were built at...

Re: My truck
GMCbsas: Before your post, we here in america (at least most board members) had only seen a couple crappy pictures of the type of bed your truck has. Thank you so much for posting those. It makes you wonder why GM would have a different bad for basically the same style truck? I also noticed the 67-72 stepsides don't have the "typical" stepside bed seen here in the U.S. It looks like GM used the 55-66 stepside bed and fenders!!! Anyone else notice the 60-66 fleetside trucks have a different tailgate than we see here...and it appears to carry over to the 67-72 bed... also looks like it has hooks in the side for latches.... very cool.
Welcome to the board and you have a great looking truck!

Re: My truck
GMCbsas, thanks for the great pictures and welcome to the board. And what about the internet and this forum which allows people from all over the world to enjoy these trucks, simply amazing. How about blazers and suburbans, are there any of these vehicles in Argentina? Don't worry about the English, you're doing great.

Re: My truck
Hey guys, yes, the differences between the beds is probably because GMC brought parts of older years from USA to build the trucks here in GMC ARGENTINA.
I send you a link with technical especifications http://www.cocheargentino.com.ar/c/c...et_pick_up.htm Suddenly GMC leaves Argentina and gives the authorization to a company called "Sevel" that also build chevrolet trucks, http://www.cocheargentino.com.ar/c/c...k_up_sevel.htm But for the purist fans only the trucks made from GMC are the real ones. The trucks made from "Sevel" are not consider as chevrolet for a lot of people, because it doesn't have the 100% support of GMC. Then GMC go back to Argentina to continous building original trucks http://www.auto-historia.com.ar/Hist...20Historia.htm Greetings to all |

Re: My truck
Here's a side by side, I borrowed this from "Down South Truckin." Always thought burbs were cool, but I never really wanted one.... I really want the argentina version! If you compared these two vehicles to modern day GM trucks.... we'd be looking at a suburban.... and a tahoe!

Anyone else notice the lack of clearance lamps on most of those, and almost all of them had visors, and many had some bling-ish hub caps?
