ignition switch problem
i can't get the key to go to accessory to get key cylinder out. does anybody know of another way to get it out with out wrecking the dash? thanks

which truck are you working on? Some 68's didn't have an ACC position, so you just start from the off position.

If you insert just barely a small common screwdriver into key slot you can pry the stainless steel face plate off face of original ignition lock to remove face plate then the remainder of lock cylinder will slide right out, you will need a new ignition lock cylinder to replace old using this method as old will be ruined, brace bottom of dash with your hand when prying lock cylinders ss faceplate off so torque of prying on it does not tweak lower dash.
