Numbers Matching?

I ran the casting number off my eninge, it's T0114TSD. According to Nasty Z28, that suffix was used twice:

1975 TSD Truck 454 215 LS-4 VIN Z, L, 20, 30
1977 TSD Truck 454 250 LF-8 VIN S, 20, 30

Where is the build date on the body? Likewise on the block (is the the code behind the driver valve cover?)

All the vin tells is the year, and the block casting only tells day and month.

Re: Numbers Matching?

In the VIN it would tell you about when it was made and the number it was when rolled off the line. http://www.73-87.com/7387info/7380vin.htm

Under the valve cover that will give you the heads info like the valve sizes, chamber CC etc.

Re: Numbers Matching?

the truck build date will be on one of teh info stickers on the drivers door. It may also be on the option label either on the inner fender or in the glove box.

Re: Numbers Matching?

in that case, i'm getting nowhere. My truck has no ID stuff. No fender sticker, no glovebox sticker, no door sticker (except for VIN plate rivetted to B post). I've already ran the VIN, it only tells me it was built in 1977. Where's the engine code (not casting number) that tell me the build YEAR so i can see if it's a 75 or 77 block?
