Need help with driver's door adjustment on 67-72 Chevy Truck/Blazer

I recently purchased a 72 K/5 Blazer that has about a 3-yr old resto. Please see my aviatar. It is rust free, and looks great except the driver's door doesn't exactly fit at the bottom where it meets the front of the rear quarter panel and rocker. It sticks out about 1/4". What's the best way to get rid of this and make it fit? I have tried adjusting it myself, but it doesn't latch well when I do. Maybe I'm not adjusting it correctly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Matt

Loosen the top of the left ft door hinge and two of the three lower bolts. Leave the lowest bolt on the bottom hinge tight. Push in the bottom of the door that sticks out and see if that works. Tighten the bolts and see what happens. If that does not work, try a block of wood and put it between the rocker panel and the door. Press firmly on the door to try and coerce the door to bend slightly to fit the body better. Good luck.
