my truck is finally one color!!!

i havent been making much progress on my truck lately. but two weeks ago i got layed off from my job so ive been putting alot time into my truck.

in the past two weeks, i did all the body work on the bed. besides cutting out and patching rust, i also shaved the stake pockets, turn signals, taillights, ends of the bed sides and all other unnecessary holes. then i painted it last saturday afternoon and had it put together and back on the truck sunday. now i just gotta finish putting in the wood floor.

monday night i put on these wheels i had in my shed for the past 3 years. the tires i found in the junk pile behind my dads work. they are pirelli p6 225/55/r16. when i get more money i want to get wider ones.

then yesterday my best friend put in 3" drop springs in his dakota and it maybe dropped it an 1" at most. so im like ok i gotta break out the torches and drop mine to outdo him. so dropped the front of my truck down 5" in the front and 6" in the rear. now i gotta buy dropped shocks cause right now im running none and it rides really bad, hahaha.

well i gotta go eat, let me know what you guys think, later...

Did you just set something onthe ground at the hieght you wanted, and heat till it sets on it? That is how I have heard to do it, but then get the warning that it's a really bad idea. Do you have any warning's for me? Sorry to drive you crazy with questions, but that is the ride I want! Thanks

i didnt put anything underneathe it. i was underneath it heating the coils and my neighbor was there taking measurements. the only trouble i had was that i had to keep going side to side to get the same height. because after a couple minutes after heating it, it would drop another half inch. it took a while but it sits level. and i had to take the shocks out because they bottomed out before it got to a 4" drop. ive been driving it around the neighborhood it rides kinda bad because it keeps bouncing because of no shocks. your not driving me crazy with questions, thats what this forum is for. later...
