proportioning valve reset
Lost pressure on rear line and it drained the front reservoir on master .
Brake light came on so I know the prop valve is working. How can I reset the proportioning valve to allow fluid to back lines again?

Re: proportioning valve reset
First try fixing the leak and tightening all the bleed valves add the fluid and pump the ever lovin beeswax outa the pedal and let it sit for a while probably a couple hours and then vacum bleed from the furthest point from the master working towards it. Had the same problem on a 90 with rabs my mechanic friend suggested this and it worked. hope it helps

Re: proportioning valve reset
If the prop. valve is working properly, and everything else is ok, they will automatically reset by pressing on the brake pedal. Now Ford's are a different story.

Re: proportioning valve reset
remove the brake pressure switch. look in the hole and you will see a small rod. there should be a groove in the rod. most likely it has moved either front to back. take a small pick and move the rod to the center position and reinstall the switch.
