P/S Gearbox Plumbing

I have retrofit a '71/'72 power stearing gear into my '67 C-10 (that originally had a manual gearbox).

Now to put hoses to it... Which hole gets pressure: the big one or the little one???

Thanks!!

now i could be wrong cuz i looked at it at night with a flashlight however it looked like the bigger hose goes to the front fitting on the box and the lower hole on the pump and the smaller hose in the rear hole on the box and the upper hole on the pump i hope that helps and goodluck

Re: P/S Gearbox Plumbing

Well, thanks for looking, but not really!!

I'm not worried about the pump, since I have a Type III (or maybe Type II) pump for an aftermarket serpentine. As such, the plumbing is a little different, and to use high pressure hoses with AN fittings, the plumbing is 1) -6 from pump to box, 2) -6 from box to remote reservoir, and 3) -10 from reservoir to pump.

I need to know which hole gets the fluid from the pump, and on my gear box, there were two different sized inverted flare holes: 5/8-18 (little hole) and 11/16-18 (big hole).

Thanks!!
